The University of the West Indies Entrepreneurship Club (UWI. E.C.) began its first club meeting of the semester on Thursday, September 14 during club time with a club orientation, ice breaker, and on-the-spot business pitch competition.
On Monday, September 4, 2023, UWI FIC reopened its 2023/2024 semester and welcomed more than 1000 new students.
Numerous students explored the many clubs the school provides during the club time period, which is held on Thursdays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., eager and ready for the new adventure. President Amarny Anthony spoke about the goals of the school's Entrepreneurship Club, which intrigued many new members.

"As a club, our main objective is to support young, aspiring student entrepreneurs by providing them with a platform to market their businesses, build a network, and gain knowledge of the business world."
When Kiara Jarvis, the club's P.R.O. (Public Relations Officer), led the new members of the club into an on-the-spot pitch competition, she proved Amarny's statement to be accurate.
Each new member received a product and a two-minute allotment of time to promote it. Although many of the youngsters were first nervous they all eventually warmed up and took part with excitement. In appreciation for their efforts, they were given cupcakes and finger foods.
In anticipation of a fruitful semester, the club plans to conduct seminars, training sessions, and networking events for the expansion, improvement, and development of UWI's student entrepreneurs.
